Monster of the Day #1679

Man, Fox really didn’t want to be in the horror business. They finally made this cheapie horror film a few years after Undying Monster, and I mean, look at that poster. What the hell? I get the ad department didn’t do a lot of horror films, but yeesh. It looks like a kid made that. And at least the Undying Monster poster said “You’ll gasp in horror.” They can’t even bother with a similarly lame tagline here.

So is the ‘Creeper’ the house cat with crazy eyes?

BTW: Some fan claimed ‘The Last Jedi’ is worse than ‘The Room’…

That cat looks more like a nippy pouf dog. Imagine that little thing chomping at your heels. The horror, the horror …

Is that the one with the unfortunate Rondo Hatton ?

  • Gamera977

I think it’s loaded on a whole box of catnip.

The poster looks like they just took a “crime movie” poster and slapped a cat head on it. Could be, it’s legend that some studios would throw a picture at a producer/director and say “here’s some poster art. Make a movie about it”.

I thought same thing, but I guess he played The Creeper in the film title “The Brute (Man)”

You trip over the mutt and down the stairs and Nippy gets the last laugh.

There’s a review of this at And You Call Yourself A Scientist. Apparently it’s a lackluster attempt at a “Cat People” ripoff. I love the expressions on that couple, they look like them might have just seen, at worst, a fender bender. Or maybe just a puddle of cat puke.
